Everybody Needs A Hobby II of the Day: For the past twenty years, Harold Hackett has been tossing bottles stuffed with messages off the coast of Prince Edward Island into the Atlantic Ocean.
Hackett estimates he’s released some 4,800 messages, all with requests for response. So far he’s received some 3,100 replies from people all over the world — and he plans on getting plenty more before he’s done.
“I don’t think I want to quit until I shut my eyes for good,” Hackett says. “I’m gonna go as long as I can.”
